  1. IPL (Indian Premier League) is the current issue. As every coin has two sides, IPL can be explored in two ways that is whether it can help or ruin the cause of cricket.
Cricket is the game introduced by British people in India. It has the glory of more than 60 years in India. People here enjoy the game by every aspect. Whenever a cricket match is happened between India & other countries, whole India cheered for India. Now we have IPL’s, teams formed by combinations of Indian & foreign players. Which had both types of effects on regular cricket?
The helping aspects of IPL to cause of cricket are:
On sports basis Improvement in Bonding of international level relationship.
IPL gave entry platform for newcomer sportspersons of India.
The good amount of taxes to government like, 91 crores which was supposed to be obtained this year by IPL.

    The other side of issue:
The teams bears names of different states creating change in views of people.
The players have been auctioned giving a thought to play for money.
The discrepancies in the auctioning prize may become a new measure to estimate the caliber of player.
Constant matches giving a day’s break may create health problems for players.
As the famous celebrities own the teams the disputes arise like dravid-mallya controversy, shahrukh khan-four captain controversy.

  2. IPL shall be discussed fro 2 different views, one is Economic & the Sports factor. We can say IPL is the product of new marketing concept mixed with the Cricket and for this product good amount of energy is utilised in systematic way. Yes it is true that the Game factor in IPL is of money instad of Cricket or we can say Pure Sport spirit.

For execution of IPL-2 season BCCI managed things very systematically that to in very short duration, it is there business and every organisation has freedom to do business, please do not club ICC matches with IPL because in ICC matches our team represents our country and it is required that our players must show true team & sports spirit.

  3. I agree with nikhil that IPL in a way divides the country as the names of the team bear the name of the states. The calibre of talent of a player can definitely not be measured on the basis of money. Two players with same talent should not be discriminated on the basis of money.Besides this one month of drama though fills the pocket of players leaves them physically and mentally exhausted for real matches. They tend to become money minded and that spirit of playing for team India is somewhere weakened.
But on the positive side Its sort of making cricket global which 'll help in development of cricket.newer talent will get a chance.people no wonder find it entertaining.the money too boosts the players to play better.
If properly timed and executed,IPL will be much honoured and respected that like normal cricket.
P.s. I feel IPL should be made two yearly.every year is taking away its novelty.
